About the SS:200LR

The SS:200LR Wireless Irradiance Meter is a robust handheld instrument designed for solar photovoltaic and solar thermal professionals to carry out comprehensive on-site surveys. In addition to measuring solar irradiance, it features an integrated inclinometer for roof pitch, a compass for orientation, and thermometers for both ambient air and module temperature. These built-in functions make the SS:200LR an indispensable all-in-one survey tool, helping to ensure optimal installation conditions for every solar system.

The SS:200LR introduces long-range wireless connectivity with the Seaward PV:1525 Solar PV Tester, enabling real-time transmission of irradiance, ambient, and module temperature data during electrical testing as required by IEC 62446 standards. This combined data set can then be imported directly into SolarCert software for seamless report generation and system certification.

A built-in data logging function with USB interface allows irradiance and temperature values to be recorded at user-defined intervals over hours or days. This feature is ideal for evaluating site conditions or assessing system performance over time, with results easily downloaded to a PC for further analysis.

Using a photovoltaic reference cell for measurement, the SS:200LR provides highly accurate and repeatable readings in W/m² or BTU/hr-ft², making it suitable for both PV and solar thermal applications. Its durable design, advanced connectivity, and enhanced functionality make it a key component of Seaward’s next-generation solar testing platform.
