What kind of personal data do we collect?

We collect your data in many ways, whether you complete an enquiry form on our website, attend a webinar, workshop or exhibition, or contact us by email, social media and phone call, or place an order, complete a survey and subscribe to our newsletter.

We only collect the information we need such as name, company name, limited address details, email address and phone number.

We do NOT store any credit card or bank details you may have provided.

Personal Information we collect automatically

We use the data in Google Analytics to make educated improvements to our website and marketing activities which allows us to bring better content to our customers. We also use cookies with Google analytics as part of Google marketing mediums such as remarketing and experiments. Again, we must reiterate that we do not share your personal information with Google.

We also track your visit behaviour so we can show you targeted adverts on social media channels. Again, we do not collect any personal data, and the data we do collect based on your visit is shared with the social media channels analytics platforms.

What do we do with your personal data?

In some circumstances we may provide your details to one of our dedicated distribution partners so they can provide you with a competitive quote. Please note that if you unsubscribe from our mailing list Seaward will not be able to contact you in the future which means you may miss out on vital product information and updates.

Improving our services: We may contact you from time to time to help us improve our company. Whether it’s to get your opinion about current and new products, our website and how we can make it better, or about our customer services, we can only make it better with your opinions in mind. Any information Seaward holds about you is stored on secure servers and is password protected. Only authorised employees at Seaward will have access to your data and will only access it when it is necessary to do so to carry out their work.

Whilst we do our best to protect your data, no information transferred over the internet is 100% secure and you provide your information at your own risk.

We use your payment details to process orders at the time of purchase and we do not store your card details or payment information on our systems under any circumstance.

When do we share your data with third parties?

Our distributors: In order to complete your request for a quotation we may provide your details to one of our third party distributors to provide a local service to you. In some cases such as the test and measurement industry, Seaward sell through a distribution model and not directly, so we will put you in touch with an approve distributor to fulfil your request. We may also provide information such as workshop and webinar registration lists to our distributors so they can contact you about your participation in the event.

Third party service providers: We may use third party systems such as an email marketing platform in order to contact you. Each third party we provide your data to have relevant security measures in place to protect your data and we store our login details to these platforms securely within the relevant departments.

Our group companies: Your details may be shared with other companies in our corporate group who process information for purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice for analytical purposes or to support the services that we provide to you.

Any information you share with us on social media or other third party platforms is not covered by this privacy policy and you should refer back to the privacy policy available on their website.

Retention of your personal data

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal data we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

What rights do you have in relation to your personal data?

To avoid unauthorised access, to guarantee accuracy and the proper use of our data, Seaward has put the appropriate electronic, physical and managerial procedures in place with a view to safeguarding and preserving the data gathered through its services.

Data Breach

In the event of a breach of security, Seaward will directly inform those affected without undue delay, no later than 72 hours after having become aware of it.
