Testing of medical devices is not the same as that of PAT testing. Although some of the basic electrical safety tests are the same the testing of medical devices go above & beyond that of a PAT test due to the additional risk posed to the safety of the user. You would require different test equipment to carry out such tests & medical equipment would normally be tested against the requirement of EN62353 or EN60601.
