How to connect a beacon to the HAL tester?
We use a Headphone jack with 3 connections, Common / T / R
When in Idle mode our beacon is GREEN the voltage between Common and T is 5V and Common and R is 0.5V
When in Test mode and the beacon is RED these voltages are reversed.
Finally, this port is not suitable to power a beacon it is just an opto drive available for supplying a signal (the beacon requires its own supply - do not use the opto as a direct switch, it needs buffering - it gives a signal for switching only).
