Seaward Supplier Awards 2011

On Friday 5th August 2011, Seaward held its 4th annual Supplier Awards event in Peterlee, County Durham.

In attendance were representatives from Seaward´s top 50 suppliers, across all commodities, with Future Electronics emerging as winner of the coveted Supplier of the Year Shield.

Awards were presented to all suppliers reaching the required levels for Bronze, Silver and Gold reflecting their levels of customer service and support during the preceding 12 months. The event was introduced by Mark Marsh, Seaward Finance Director and followed by presentations on Seaward´s Manufacturing Strategy by Ian West, Operations Director and On-Time Delivery by Ricardo Gutierrez, Senior Buyer.

This year´s supplier presentation was delivered by Keith Thomas of Future Electronics who stressed the importance of inventory holding down the supply chain to deliver the flexibility that Seaward is looking for.

Martin Hardy, Seaward Purchasing Manager, stated, "we see the awards event as a way of communicating our message on-masse to the key players in our Supply Chain. It is also a good forum for suppliers to exchange views on good practice and appreciate the challenges of suppliers of other commodities".
