With growing interest in sustainable transport solutions, new technology to ensure that the electric vehicle power charging network operates safely and effectively at all times has been shortlisted in a prestigious facilities management industry awards.
News channel Tomorrow’s FM has included the EV100 EV charge point tester from Seaward in the nominees for its 2016 industry awards that seek to recognise the top new products and services that help to bring innovation and improvements to the facilities management world.
With the growing popularity of electric vehicles meaning more and more FMs and building services professionals taking on responsibility for electric vehicle charging and supply equipment, the new Seaward EV100 is designed specifically for validation and fault finding on AC charging points.
As well as carrying out basic field tests, more detailed diagnostic data from the chargepoint can be transferred to a mobile Android app using NFC wireless communications. This comprehensive technical data can then be quickly sent to a specialist engineer or head office location for full remote fault diagnosis and records management purposes.
Online voting on the Tomorrow’s FM website to choose the award winners is open until Friday 18th March. Selections can be made by visiting the special awards poll and registering your support for your favourite entry via the voting link – which we hope will be the new Seaward EV100 tester.
