Job Purpose

As a Human Resource Professional you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, as such you will be expected to contribute to the overall business strategy and planning with the ‘People’ perspective.  

Your will lead the implementation of all aspects of the company’s people strategy, including the  service delivery from the HR function within the organisation. Providing support, advice and guidance as needed to the departmental managers in any aspect of the employee life cycle.  

As part of our small HR team you will also have functional role in providing the HR services at a operational level.

Responsibilities

you will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing and monitoring the ‘people’ strategy within the company
  • Developing and implementing policies and people programmes to support the ‘people’ strategy, including but not restricted to:

 

o   Recruitment and Selection

o   Training and Development

o   Talent management and succession planning

o   Coaching and Mentoring

o   Reward Strategy

o   Grade Harmonisation

 

  • Advising and guiding on change management and organisational development initiatives
  • Developing and embedding Employee Voice practices within a blended communication framework
  • Developing and implementing colleague engagement activities
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of the HR functions
  • Ensuring policies are compliant with, and being delivered within the current legislation
  • Ensuring compliance with UK GDPR 2021 requirements
  • Reporting on the performance and progress of the HR department
  • Ensuring the HR system (Cezanne HR) is accurate at all times
  • Supporting the Board of Directors with a monthly HR report

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

  • To be an experienced people manager ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Member of CIPD would be an advantage
  • MA (HRM) or CIPD Level 7 Diploma in HRM is preferable, Degree level qualification in HRM or Business is acceptable.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrable experience and strong understanding of HR functions and their application including recruitment, onboarding, training needs assessment and programme development, understanding of employment law and its application
  • Demonstrable experience of the application and management of disciplinary procedures and grievance handling processes
  • Able to prioritise team objectives and provide leadership in a fast paced and time pressured HR department
  • Be an HR Business Partner to departmental managers
  • To be able to report on the performance and progress of the HR team
  • To monitor and report on the HR strategy and its implementation along with  statistical analysis and periodic reports as required

 

Qualifications

  • To be an experienced people manager ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Member of CIPD would be an advantage

Remuneration & Other Items

  • Salary £65,000. Company car.
  • Discretionary bonus based on company and personal performance.
  • Pension contributions: 4% ees and 4% ers.
  • 23 days annual leave.
