The Seaward submarine fender is a vertically-positioned pneumatic fender, which is partially filled with water for stability and submergence. A counterweight is attached to the bottom of the fender to keep it upright. The energy absorption of the fender is provided by compressing the internal air which is pressurized during the installation.
